Base fee:
  • This rate includes coffee breaks and the AWLA Saturday luncheon. You must be a member to receive this rate. The rate changes to $150 on December 1st, 2024.

There are two pre-conference workshops on Friday, 1/31 from 1-2:50. Choose one to attend (additional $25):

Pre-Conference #1: AI-Powered Language Teaching: Recharge Your Teaching, Empower Your Students

Discover how AI can revolutionize your language teaching experience. This interactive workshop will explore a variety of AI tools and strategies to help you create engaging and effective language lessons that increase student proficiency while decreasing your planning time.

Presented in English by Chrissy Roe (ACTFL, SCOLT)

Audience Level: K-12 & Higher Ed

Content: Participants will be encouraged to make activities for their own classroom while learning to use AI resources. Slides will be used to guide the presentation and provide an easy to follow outline.

Pre-Conference #2: Interpersonal Communication with a Silent Twist!

Looking for a way to effectively incorporate interpersonal communication in your classroom? In this session, participants will participate in and learn how to seamlessly implement "The Silent Conversation" in World Language classrooms alongside interpretive and presentational modes of communication.

Presented in English by Chelsea Lawrence (AATSP, ACTFL, SCOLT)

Audience Level: Pre-K, K-12, & Higher Ed

Content: Participants will engage in a Silent Conversation themselves, Presentation slides, discussion, Q&A, workshop time for creating materials for a Silent Conversation in their own classroom.


IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS:

All attendees, including exhibitors, must be registered for the conference. All payments including Purchase Orders (POs) and checks must be received before access can be granted to the event. Membership dues must be paid prior to registering.

REFUND POLICY:

Registration is non-refundable. Refund requests will be considered for extraordinary circumstances only and will be credited at the discretion of the Executive Board. The Executive Board reserves the right to deny refund requests for any reason.
